Our sketches start off loose, the hand following the pen and going where the pen wants to go. No constraints, as thoughts and the creative process are fluid, and so should your initial sketches be.
Lines and layers of paper over each other, refining the organic shapes into forms, creating block plans. Block plans are the bases, the foundations of the more resolved design, where spatial planning and design overlap in order to move to the next phase of the process.
